Collection: Tropical - Pinguicula (Butterworts)

Tropical Pinguicula (commonly called tropical butterworts) are a group of carnivorous plants native primarily to Mexico, Central America, and parts of the Caribbean that capture small insects on their sticky, gland-covered leaves. Unlike many temperate butterworts, tropical species typically do not require a cold winter dormancy; instead, many transition seasonally between a carnivorous leaf form during wetter conditions and a compact succulent-like rosette during drier periods.
